- Thumbsize knob of Ginger, skin on, cut into tiny chunks
- 3 x lemon slices rind and all
- Apple peel - must be the peel. The peel is drying in nature and helps to dry out any phlegm.
- 1/4 teaspoon each of black cracked pepper, cinnamon, turmeric
- Pinch chilli
Healing Properties:
GINGER:
Healing properties include increase in appetite, prevents motion sickness, digest ama (toxins in the body). Fresh ginger promotes sweating and both forms are good for respiratory congestion.
TUMERIC:
The super spice! Turmeric belongs to the same family as ginger. Turmeric is best known for removing acidity in the body. It is a natural antiseptic and antibiotic.
CINNAMON:
Eliminates mucous, stimulates digestion, its oil can be used in toothache, headache and impotence.
