Ayurvedic Cold Fighting Tea
It acts as an expectorant to dry out and warm your chest and body to heat your body and expel the bugs from the inside out. 
You may experience hot flushes, sweat and go to the loo to do number two a couple of times. Don't stress! This is a good thing, its the tea working its magic, by helping your boy rid itself of yuckiness.
  • Thumbsize knob of Ginger, skin on, cut into tiny chunks
  • 3 x lemon slices rind and all
  • Apple peel - must be the peel. The peel is drying in nature and helps to dry out any phlegm.
  • 1/4 teaspoon each of black cracked pepper, cinnamon, turmeric
  • Pinch chilli
Place all these ingredients into a tea pot of coffee plunger, fill with water and allow to steep 3 mins.
When, and only when the brew is at drinking temp, add 1 tbspn honey. Honey should never be mixed with hot water, it become rancid and becomes toxic at high temperatures. 
Sip this tea all through the day.

Healing Properties:


Healing properties include increase in appetite, prevents motion sickness, digest ama (toxins in the body). Fresh ginger promotes sweating and both forms are good for respiratory congestion.


The super spice! Turmeric belongs to the same family as ginger. Turmeric is best known for removing acidity in the body. It is a natural antiseptic and antibiotic.


Eliminates mucous, stimulates digestion, its oil can be used in toothache, headache and impotence.
