High-Protein Chocolate Mousse
Who says chocolate can't be nourishing? This creamy, velvety chocolate mousse is packed with goodness and makes the perfect high-protein breakfast, afternoon snack or healthy dessert. Made with simple wholefood ingredients, it's naturally rich, satisfying and a delicious way to keep you feeling fuller for longer.
With around 10–12g of protein per serve, it's a great option for busy mornings, post-workout fuel, or those moments when you're craving something sweet without the sugar crash. Best of all, it's incredibly easy to make—just blend, chill and enjoy!
Ingredients
Makes 4–6 serves | Approximately 10–12g protein per serve
- 6–8 large pasture-raised or free-range eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
- ½ cup milk of choice (I love using raw cow's milk)
- ½ cup thick cream or coconut yoghurt (for a dairy-free option)
- ⅓ cup raw cacao powder
- ⅓ cup pure maple syrup
- Pinch of Celtic sea salt
- Pinch of ground cinnamon
Method
- Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender.
- Blend for 1–2 minutes until completely smooth, creamy and silky.
- Taste and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding a little more maple syrup.
- Divide the mousse between serving bowls or jars.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow it to set and develop its rich, luscious texture.
To Serve
Finish with a handful of fresh raspberries and a sprinkle of your favourite granola, toasted nuts or cacao nibs for added crunch and texture.
